In-form Zaki is hot property

Amr Zaki is undoubtedly the find of the season in the Premier League, but Wigan boss Steve Bruce will need all his powers of persuasion to keep hold of the 25-year-old Egyptian.

The powerful striker has blasted seven goals in eight Premier League games and leads the scoring charts after his double against Liverpool at Anfield at the weekend and at of 15.5 Zaki could be a shrewd bet to win the golden boot.

Zaki, who has been likened to Alan Shearer, was once again at his best as he crashed home an acrobatic overhead kick at Anfield a goal which has made Liverpool chief Rafa Benitez take note.

Zaki s brace wasn t enough at Anfield as Wigan lost 3-2, but the on-loan star is now firmly on Benitez s radar.

Reading 7/5 to win against Preston in this afternoon’s Championship clash

Competition: Championship
Market: Reading to win against Preston
Odds:

Reading welcome Preston North End at the Madejski Stadium in this afternoon’s Championship clash, and are slim favourites to come out on top in what promises to be a well-fought encounter. The winner could go top in their opening league game, but could also focus on just getting off the mark as soon as possible.

Reading finished 17th in the Championship last season with 52 points from 46 games, but their home form as more convincing. The Royals lost only six times on home soil in 2015/16, and have a new manager at the helm as they attempt to start the new campaign in speedy fashion.

As for their opponents, Preston North End finished above Reading the Championship table, ending t…

Nani on Arsenal radar; Dortmund to take gamble on Pizarro

Nani on Arsenal radar

that Arsenal are lining up a summer swoop for Manchester United winger Nani.

Arsene Wenger reportedly has around £70 million to spend in the upcoming transfer window and he is planning to seriously reinforce the squad.

The Frenchman is now pondering a £15 million bid for the Portugal international as he looks to further improve his attacking department.

Nani is clearly unhappy with his status at Old Trafford and he appears to be heading towards the summer exit.

His position at the club is unlikely to change with the arrival of David Moyes and there is every chance the Red Devils will be looking to cash in on him in the summer.

Nani, 26, has clocked up 135 Premier League appearances since arriving from Sporting L…

Figo: It´s the end of an era at Inter

Inter Milan director Luis Figo has admitted that an era has come to an end but the club is working towards building another winning team.

Following the Calciopoli scandal of 2006, Inter dominated Italy s Serie A by winning five consecutive Scudetti.

Bitesize Prediction: Southend vs Chesterfield – 18/11/23

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/7 @

Hoping to extend their buffer at the top of the National League table on Saturday afternoon, Chesterfield will travel to Roots Hall when they meet Southend.

Starting with the hosts, last seen putting in a toothless performance as they suffered a 2-0 loss away at Altrincham, Southend will certainly be seeking an immediate response here. Nevertheless, while the Blues might be dealing with a string of financial issues behind the scenes at Roots Hall this season, the Blues have dragged themselves away from a looming relegation scrap. Losing just a pair of their previous nine appearances across all competitions a run that stems back to a 2-1 loss against AFC Fylde on September 23rd Kevin Maher’s side will be excited to make a…
